The RoleThe Site Agent will be responsible for overseeing construction site operations to ensure successful project delivery in alignment with customer objectives. This role requires maintaining high standards of health and safety, quality, environmental considerations, and cost management. You will lead the execution of multiple projects, ensuring they meet the specified quality, adhere to the required timeline, and achieve maximum commercial efficiency. Collaborating closely with the Contracts Manager/Project Manager, engineers, and quantity surveyors, you will ensure that all projects are delivered safely while consistently meeting or surpassing client expectations.
Key ResponsibilitiesSite Management
Take full responsibility for the successful execution of various projects within the Civils and Water sectors.
Ensure all work is completed to the specified quality standards, free from defects.
Where necessary, lead a team comprising Sub Agents, Engineers, and Foremen to deliver projects safely and efficiently, without environmental incidents.
Develop and implement Project Plans, Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), and Waste Management Plans, as per company procedures.
Maximize the commercial performance of contracts.
Prepare and oversee the project construction programme, including a two-week lookahead schedule.
Develop procurement schedules and coordinate with the procurement team to ensure adequate site resources are available.Client Engagement
Represent the business professionally when interacting with clients, the public, and regulatory bodies.
Ensure projects are delivered in line with client requirements and expectations.Cost Management
Monitor and manage the project cost plan to optimize financial performance.
Maximize project value while maintaining cost efficiency.
Maintain comprehensive site records and daily diaries.
Promote cost control by maintaining commercial awareness and challenging inefficiencies.
Identify and implement value engineering opportunities.Reporting
Prepare and submit accurate and detailed monthly reports for internal use and for clients.
Conduct and chair weekly site meetings following company procedures.Key Performance Indicators
Meet all monthly and weekly reporting deadlines.
Adhere to Business Unit Objectives.
Achieve compliance with 3 Pillar KPIs and client performance measures.Key Stakeholders & Relationships
