Role Overview:
Looking to make your mark in an industry that’s set to explode? The #1 player in the reality capture industry is on the hunt for a Solutions Engineer to supercharge our Sales and Customer Success organizations in a fast-growing region.
You’re already an industry expert, with a strong sense for the drivers and trends that are transforming the reality capture space, and can convincingly and effectively demonstrate DroneDeploy’s solutions using documented customer evaluation plans and use-case adoption examples.
You will be the primary industry and solutions resource for our EMEA sales and customer teams, taking a consultative approach with our customers and prospects, identifying their use cases and operational challenges and driving value-based alignment between customer needs and the DroneDeploy platform. This is a critical role in our Go-To-Market team, reporting directly to the Manager of EMEA and working hand in glove with our EMEA sales/CS team to support existing and prospective customers as their trusted industry and product advisor.

Responsibilities:

  • Consult with existing and prospective customers to identify the current state of their reality capture program, identify and document current pain points, collaborate on solutions, and drive successful evaluations to align their needs with DroneDeploy’s solutions.
  • Work with the Customer Success team to grow customers into DroneDeploy advocates and accelerate adoption through programmatic engagement strategies, training and consultation.
  • Conduct analysis to determine the best path for solving business problems/opportunities that may include process improvement, systems enhancement, user training, and/or hardware recommendations.
  • Liaise directly to global SE Team to facilitate best practices, efficiency and solution innovation.
  • Collaborate with the sales team on opportunity qualification, demonstrations, proof-of-concept presentations, RFP responses and business justification in a presales capacity.
  • Assist the Customer Success team with the post-sales technical process: installation, deployment, training, technical check-ups and escalation management, including API integrations and internal app development.
  • Partner with Marketing to participate in EMEA specific events including, group training webinars, field-days, and in-person industry conferences.
  • Develop a mastery of DroneDeploy solutions, business model, services and Customer Success best practices.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of field experience in similar role or in a program/operations management role with an energy, construction, architecture, mining or engineering organization.
  • Prior experience with a SaaS company or working knowledge of enterprise SaaS products.
  • Pre-sales, solutions engineering or customer-facing experience with enterprise SaaS platforms desirable.
  • Must be able to obtain a A2 CofC UAV pilot’s license.
  • Able to travel and visit customers approximately 50% of the time as required (including domestic, regional EMEA and USA on occasions).
  • Located in the London-metropolitan area and expected to be in the London-based office (Moorgate) 4+ days a week for team collaboration.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including demonstrated experience in delivering solutions proposals to C-suite and executive-level stakeholders.
  • Strong experience mentoring and managing internal and external teams.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced start-up environment, with superior organizational and time-urgency skills.
  • Able to work Monday - Friday, 8:00AM to 6:00PM UK time, but longer hours may be required.
