Social Personnel is proud to be partnering with Hillingdon Council in the search for a Senior Social Worker to join their Unaccompanied Children’s Assessment Team – a specialist service that supports and safeguards unaccompanied children and young people arriving in the UK.

This is a rewarding and vital role where your expertise will make a lasting difference in the lives of vulnerable young people navigating enormous change.

🔹 About the Role

You'll be working with children and young people up to the age of 18, carrying out statutory duties under the Children Act. This includes delivering high-quality assessments and care planning, ensuring safe placements, and supporting young people through immigration and safeguarding processes.

You will:



Conduct Brief Enquiries, Age Assessments, and Needs Assessments

*

Navigate and manage the National Transfer Scheme (NTS) process

*

Make appropriate NRM (National Referral Mechanism) referrals

*

Work closely with legal teams, partner agencies, and interpreters

*

Provide trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, relationship-based social work

*

Maintain accurate records and uphold statutory responsibilities to the highest standard
