Expression of Interest – sUAS Training Instructor
Location: Lincolnshire, North East, South West and South Coast of England
Eagle Eye Innovations Ltd (EEI) is seeking expressions of interest from experienced and enthusiastic professionals who would like to play a key role in developing the next generation of sUAS operators.
As we continue to expand our training capability, we are looking for individuals who can support the delivery and development of high-quality training programmes across a variety of operational environments. Whether your background is in flying operations, technical support, training delivery or assurance, we'd love to hear from you.
The Opportunity
In this role, you will help deliver a blend of:
You will contribute to the development of remote pilots, sensor operators and other UAS specialists, helping ensure they operate safely, effectively and in accordance with regulatory and operational requirements.
Not Already an Instructor?
That is not necessarily a problem.
We recognise that some of the best instructors start as experienced operators. If you have credible real-world UAS experience, strong technical knowledge and enjoy developing others, we are keen to hear from you. The ability to communicate, mentor and inspire confidence is every bit as important as formal instructional qualifications.
What We're Looking For
We're interested in individuals who can bring a combination of operational experience, technical credibility and a strong safety mindset. Successful applicants are likely to have experience in areas such as:
UAS operations and flight delivery
Training and instruction
Technical UAS systems and equipment
Training assurance, validation or quality management
Safety, airworthiness and regulatory compliance
You should also be comfortable working within established training frameworks and maintaining high professional standards at all times.
Essential Experience
To be considered, you should be able to demonstrate:
✅ Practical UAS operational experience and/or previous instructional experience
✅ Strong presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
✅ A commitment to safety, compliance and operational excellence
✅ Experience working within structured training or quality environments
✅ A valid GVC and/or RPC-L1 Part A and Part B qualification
✅ Experience conducting Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) operations
Desirable Experience
Applications from individuals with any of the following backgrounds are particularly welcomed:
Military or civilian flying training experience
Instructional qualifications
Experience developing training material, lesson plans and assessments
Knowledge of UK CAA regulations, SORA and associated authorisation processes
Experience supporting training assurance, validation or standardisation activities
Experience operating and instructing within complex BVLOS environments
Experience working in defence, aviation or other safety-critical sectors
