Flight Test Engineer

The Opportunity:

In this role, you will bridge engineering and field operations to rigorously evaluate cutting-edge unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) systems. You will manage the end-to-end flight testing lifecycle-from initial test planning and UAV piloting to deep-dive telemetry analysis-ensuring safety and compliance throughout.

Your Impact

Test Planning & Execution: Author test plans and risk assessments, operating as a UAV pilot in the field to collect vital telemetry and performance data.

Flight Preparation: Oversee pre-flight ground testing, system checks, and overall field setup to ensure mission readiness.

Data & Reporting: Process flight data against engineering metrics and deliver actionable technical reports to drive platform improvements.Your Experience

Flight Operations: Proven experience in uncrewed or crewed flight testing, test card generation, and telemetry analysis.

Pilot Certification: Certified UAV pilot skilled in both manual and autonomous flight operations.

Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret complex flight data and translate it into clear engineering feedback.

Regulations & Clearance (Desirable): Familiarity with aviation regulatory standards (CAA, MAA, EASA) and the ability to obtain UK SC Clearance.This is an urgent vacancy where the hiring manager is shortlisting for an interview immediately.
