This role is working 9:00am - 5:30pm, Monday - Friday, working from home with complete home office set up, support and ongoing training.

This rarely available Proposal Writer role will be paying a basic salary of £35,000 - £36,000, plus bonus - offering excellent variety and exposure to a wide range of existing and new clients, across the UK and beyond.

The Role:

As part of a specialist team, you will be managing the end - to end proposal approval process, within agreed timescales. Coordinating requests for proposals to be approved, taking relevant information, checking the accuracy of this information whilst working within agreed or negotiated terms and SLA's.

You will need to understand clients' needs and any issues this may cause, you will then produce well-presented and well-written proposal content, maintaining and designing templates, adhering to the proposal process ensuring readability, tone and consistency.

Updating the CRM you will have ownership of ensuring risks are signed off before approving proposals - making sure commitments made to clients' are authorised by a suitable manager at all times.

More Detail:

Create well-written and well-presented proposals, following best practice and using our team style guide.
Review proposal content for quality, readability, consistency, tone of voice and compliance.
Re-write/edit proposal responses and library content from a variety of stakeholders.
Work with our sales team, bid team and subject matter experts to deliver winning proposal content and supporting resources (customer-focused, technically accurate and persuasive).
Deliver proposal writing and review requests from our sales and bid teams as required. Working within the agreed timescales.
Raise any non-standard terms, risks and committed deliverables (SLAs, project dates etc) that are not approved.
Lead kick-off/storyboarding meetings as required, agree win themes with stakeholder and contributors, and mark-up templates/documents/responses as required.
Follow product and pricing updates, media releases and industry changes. Conduct market research as required.
Maintain our content library, templates, resources, knowledge base and CRM as required.
Track and maintain reports and dashboards for proposal data, wins and losses etc.
Support with sharing knowledge and skills across the sales team, coaching, and any other projects to improve proposals and sales enablement.The Person:

Advanced Microsoft Word and PowerPoint skills, and proficient Microsoft Office and CRM skills.
Excellent English language writing, editing and proofreading skills.
Strong commercial understanding and business acumen. Able to understand complex pricing.
Excellent communication skills. Able to influence, coach and motivate contributors and stakeholders, and collaborate across teams.
Strong organisational, time management and prioritisation skills, and great attention to detail.
Able to work under the pressure of deadlines, manage multiple projects and be flexible as part of a small team.
Proposal graphics skills advantageous.Previous Experience:

Experience of writing and editing customer-focused proposal content is essential, ideally within a similar industry.
Experience of public sector procurement, bidding or proposal writing is desirable.
Experience leading and/or participating in key review meetings, final document reviews and storyboard sessions is desirable.
APMP certification and/or membership is desirable.
English language degree or creative writing qualification desirable.
Full driving licence / ability to travel to Bedford as required.
Occasional requirement to work flexible hours to meet customer deadlines.
