Job Title: Business Development Manager – Modular Rooflights

Industry Sector: Modular Rooflights, Roof Lanterns, Circular Glass Rooflights, Modular Glass Link Systems, Builders Merchants, Fenestration, Distribution, Window & Door Installers, Roofing Contractors, Rooflight Industry

Area to be covered: South East & Anglia

Remuneration: £38,000 + up to £18-000 Commission

Benefits: Hybrid Car & Full Benefits

The role of the Area Sales Manager Modular Rooflights will involve:

  • Field sales role selling a manufactured range or modular glass rooflights including; roof lanterns, circular glass rooflights and modular glass link systems

  • 50% of your time selling into builders merchants

  • 50% selling into roofing contractors, window and door installers and other fenestration contractors

  • New business development role (new team)

  • £500,000 revenue target

  • 7 customer appointment per day

  • Transaction sale rather than project led

  • Working in a UK field sales team of 5 nationally

    The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager Modular Rooflights with:

  • Construction/ building products field sales experience

  • Must have sold into contractors and builders merchants

  • Open to someone working in a builders merchants, who has dealt with contractors

  • Knowledge of the fenestration industry

  • New business hunter

  • Comfortable with large area/ able to travfel with monthly overnight stays required

  • Not afraid to cold call (face to face)

  • Persuasive, patience and resilient

  • Good IT skills

  • A strong network of contacts within roofing contractors, window and door installers and other fenestration contractors may be advantageous

  • Specific product knowledge or rooflights is not required.
