Associate Structural Engineer

We are currently seeking an Associate Structural Engineer to join a successful, well established Civil and Structural Design practice in Cardiff. The primary work stream is commercial and social houses, care homes, renewable energy and wind farms, industrial developments and remediation. Our client has projects throughout the UK, but most work is in South Wales and the West of England.

As a project leader, the role will require the candidate to be empathetic and supportive of staff, and they will be confident and engaging with our valued clients. The candidate will also undertake technical design and reporting work themselves so they will be required to have good written and verbal communication skills. They will be highly knowledgeable in the design and detailing of all major structural materials and an awareness or knowledge of:

AutoCADThe successful candidate is likely to have at least ten years post graduate experience and will already be used to taking design responsibility for projects. They are likely to be Chartered but applications from candidates who have a similar level of experience and expertise are welcomed.

In order to be considered for this Associate Structural Engineer role you will;

Experience with design in multiple materials and analysis and design of varied building forms.
The candidate will be working within a mixed civil/structural engineering team. Preferably they will be competent in either field. However, candidates stronger in one are acceptable so long as they are prepared to represent all areas, for example at meetings and taking key actions back to specific designers if necessary.
Ability to manage project finances and company marketing to a high level
The role would be to support a current Associate Engineer/Director.For this Associate Structural Engineer role our client is offering;
