Are you an experienced Bid Writer with a passion for the construction industry? Do you want to be part of an exciting growth journey at a leading contractor? We are currently seeking a Bid Writer to join the Refurbishment team of a well-established contractor based in Hertfordshire. This is an incredible opportunity to play a key role in the company’s growth, as they are set to double in size over the next three years.

Role Overview:

As a Bid Writer / Manager, you will be instrumental in preparing high-quality, compelling bids that help secure new projects. Working within the Refurbishment team, you’ll lead the development of detailed submissions, collaborating closely with key stakeholders to ensure that all bids are on time, compliant, and accurately reflect the company’s capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare high-quality bid documents: Write and manage the preparation of comprehensive, winning bids for refurbishment projects.

  • Lead the bid process: Co-ordinate with internal teams to ensure all required information is gathered and submitted within deadlines.

  • Work closely with the project team: Collaborate with various departments to ensure proposals reflect the company’s expertise and strengths.

  • Monitor market trends: Stay updated on industry trends to help shape the bid approach and offer innovative solutions.

  • Ensure compliance and accuracy: Ensure all submissions are in line with client requirements and industry standards.

    The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience in Bid Writing and/or Bid Management within the construction/refurbishment sector.

  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively.

  • A deep understanding of construction processes and refurbishment project requirements.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple bids simultaneously.

  • Organised with excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
