About the Opportunity
We are working in partnership with a leading UK-based Structural Engineering consultancy with a strong footprint across asset management, inspection, and engineering design for critical infrastructure sectors. Established over a decade ago, this family-run business has built a solid reputation delivering technical excellence to rail Inspections and design schemes across the UK.
Due to continued growth and new framework wins, they are looking to expand their highly competent engineering team. If you're a chartered or experienced civil/structural engineer with inspection or asset management experience, this is a great opportunity to work on nationally significant projects while benefiting from a flexible, supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver condition inspections and structural assessments of infrastructure assets, including bridges and buildings
Produce detailed inspection reports in line with client specifications and regulatory standards
Conduct feasibility studies, structural capacity reviews, and load assessments (including FEA)
Participate in the planning and design of new or modified civil/structural assets
Liaise with contractors and clients to deliver safe, compliant, and economical solutions
Lead or support specialist access inspections, including rope access, confined space, MEWP, and drone-assisted surveys
Support or undertake CRE duties for Network Rail projects
Contribute to the preparation of tenders, technical specifications, and management plansRequirements

Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering (or related discipline)
Working toward or holding Chartered status (ICE or equivalent) desirable
Demonstrable experience in infrastructure asset management or structural inspections
Familiarity with Network Rail standards (STE02, STE04, STE05, STE06/07) is a strong advantage
Ability to work at height, in confined spaces, or using specialist access equipment (IRATA, MEWP, etc.)
Excellent written communication skills for report production
UK driving licence and willingness to travel for site work as requiredWhat's On Offer
