Are you a driven, self-motivated sales professional looking to take the next step in the security sector?
We’re recruiting for a Business Development Manager to join a fast-moving, agile security business that delivers best-in-class operational security solutions to clients across industries.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to own their sales journey—building relationships, identifying opportunities, and helping shape how we grow in a competitive and ever-evolving sector.

About the Role

You’ll be on the front line of our growth strategy, engaging with businesses and other security companies to offer high-quality, practical, and scalable security services. This role requires a confident communicator who thrives in both virtual and face-to-face environments and understands how to open doors and close deals.

You’ll report directly to the senior leadership team and have a real opportunity to make an impact. It’s ideal for someone who wants to build a career in sales within the security sector—or take their current experience to the next level.

Key Responsibilities

Proactively identify, target and engage new clients across various industries—including private businesses, facilities managers, and other security firms.

*

Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline through a mix of outbound activity, networking, referrals, and follow-up on inbound leads.

*

Lead on discovery conversations to understand client needs and tailor security solutions that align with operational requirements.

*

Conduct virtual and in-person meetings to present our services, develop proposals, and progress opportunities through to close.

*

Collaborate with the wider operations team to ensure smooth handover and service mobilisation for new accounts.

*

Track activity and maintain accurate CRM records and sales reports.

*

Represent the company at networking events, trade shows, and industry forums.

*

Keep up to date with sector trends, competitor activity, and market developments.

*

Contribute to quarterly sales planning and forecasting.

About You

*

A go-getter: You’re proactive, driven, and comfortable working toward sales targets.

*

A confident communicator: You’re persuasive and credible with stakeholders at all levels.

*

Commercially minded: You can identify opportunities, qualify leads, and guide prospects through a structured sales process.

*

Agile and self-sufficient: You’re happy working independently but know when to bring others in to support.

*

Previous experience in B2B sales, ideally in security, facilities management, or a related service-based sector.

*

Solid understanding of how to sell solutions based on value, not just price.

*

A valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel for meetings when required.

What’s on Offer

*

Competitive base salary

*

Uncapped commission structure

*

Supportive, entrepreneurial working culture

*

Flexibility to work remotely and manage your own schedule

*

Ongoing development and a genuine opportunity to shape your career in the security industry

*

Exposure to a wide range of clients and partnerships

UAV Jobs Skills Radar 2026: Emerging Tools, Platforms & Technologies to Learn Now

Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) are no longer just military assets—they're transforming agriculture, infrastructure inspection, logistics, filmmaking, and public safety. As commercial drone operations scale in the UK, the demand for skilled UAV professionals is rising sharply across engineering, flight operations, data analysis, and autonomous systems. Welcome to the UAV Jobs Skills Radar 2026—your annual guide to the tools, platforms, certifications, and technologies that are shaping UAV careers in the UK. Whether you're a drone pilot, systems engineer, or AI developer working on autonomous navigation, this radar shows you what to focus on to remain in-demand.

How to Find Hidden UAV Jobs in the UK Using Professional Bodies like IMechE, RAeS & More

Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), commonly known as drones, are transforming industries in the UK—from surveying, inspection, and agriculture to emergency services, logistics, and defence. As the sector evolves, so too does the demand for skilled UAV professionals: pilots, systems engineers, data analysts, AI specialists, and regulatory experts. Yet many of the best UAV jobs—especially in R&D, government contracts, and specialist commercial operations—are never advertised publicly. They’re often filled through trusted networks, working group referrals, pilot programmes, and specialist community engagement. In this guide, you’ll discover how to access hidden UAV jobs in the UK by engaging with professional bodies like the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE), Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS), APRIL (UK), and regional drone networks. You’ll learn how to use directories, CPD events, special interest groups (SIGs), and industry clusters to position yourself at the forefront of opportunity—before roles are even published.

How to Get a Better UAV Job After a Lay-Off or Redundancy

Being made redundant from a role in unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) or drone technology can be disheartening—especially in such a cutting-edge and evolving sector. But with the growing adoption of UAVs in defence, surveying, logistics, agriculture, inspection, and emergency response, your skills remain in demand. Whether you're a drone pilot, UAV systems engineer, geospatial analyst, flight software developer, or mechanical integrator, this guide will help you bounce back stronger after redundancy.
