PURPOSE

  • Deliver the procurement process at Divisional Level for purchase ledger purchases, materials, plant hire and non-contract related expenditure.
    KEY ACCOUNTABILIES
  • Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance of the role.
  • Comply with Company rules, policies and procedures at all times.
  • Carry out any other reasonable tasks which may be required from time to time and to enable the company to remain adaptable to changing markets and needs.
  • Liaise closely with the Central Procurement lead/Regional Buyer to ensure that Procurement Policy and Procedures are followed at local level and recommendations for improvement and innovation are communicated effectively.
  • Liaison with Site and Management Teams to determine material requirements and delivery schedules
  • Generation and accurate utilization of procurement and system management tools
  • Placement of material purchase orders as required in conjunction with the Regional Buyer
  • Provide job support/cover for the Plant Administrator, placement of Plant Hire Orders as required
  • Establishment and maintenance of relationships with suppliers to maximize the profitability of the business and to ensure that the businesses objectives are achieved
  • Provision of professional and service driven assistance to all divisions of the Water Business ensuring that material/plant hire orders are expedited effectively
  • Develop effective working relationships with Group Accounts Teams/Procurement Business partner to ensure effective processing of good receipt documentation and closing out invoice queries
  • Actively support management and site teams and offer a personal and dedicated approach to procurement solutions
  • Liaise with estimating/design/site teams ensuring accurate material/hire costs are utilized at tender stage
  • Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary to effectively undertake the role
  • Comply with Company rules, policies and procedures at all times
  • Carry our any other reasonable task required to enable the Company to meet its targets and objectives
