Job Description: We are excited to welcome an enthusiastic Depot Manager to our team, within the Pallet Network operations. You will be responsible for the running of our Pallet Network operations in Cullompton. This role is pivotal in ensuring our transport and warehouse operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

You will have full P&L responsibility for the Cullompton Pallet Network operation reporting into the General Manager.
Oversee the resourcing, organising and managing the transport activities, to meet demands network fluctuations.
Responsibility for all operational and legal compliance.
Ensuring our customer relationships and requirements are maintained and service expectations are surpassed
Leading and motivating a team of circa 55, including drivers, warehouse/forklift and office staff.
Responsibility for circa 30 vehicles operating day and night.
Perform regular meetings with Site Supervisors to ensure all areas of vehicle & driver legal compliance, Health and Safety and transport planning are monitored, reviewed and any actions required are in place.
Experience of working together with Trade Unions.
Developing and growing the business. Ensuring all opportunities to grow the future of the business are taken.
Set objectives and measure relevant financial and operational KPI's to General Manager.
Ensure Budget constraints are met and assist in the production of future Budgets.
Identifying peaks and troughs within the Business Area
Identifying areas of continuous improvement for our operations and our customers.
Work Collaboratory with our partners within the pallet networks to deliver best in class service.
Identifying any areas that are underperforming and put in place strategy plans for improvement.
Monitoring and auditing Health and Safety and compliance.Required Experience:

Qualifications: Must hold international or national CPC qualification and have previous Transport Management experience.
Experience: Pallet Networks experience is desirable.
Legal Compliance: Strong understanding of legal compliance, driver's hours, and WTDs.
Change Management: Proven track record of leading successful change.
Customer Relationship Management: Experience in managing customer relationships.
Financial Management: Experience in managing financial budgets and annual P&L responsibility.
Management Skills: Strong evidence of management skills and making key business decisions.
Team Motivation: Ability to advise and motivate the team to deliver results.
Presentation Skills: Ability to present to senior key contacts and external customers.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Stakeholder Engagement: Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
IT Skills: Proficient in MS Office with strong analytical abilities for reviewing data and reports.Why Join Gregory Distribution Ltd?
