The Role:

This role is part of our Sensor Systems Radar Business Unit in Farnborough.

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining an efficient development-to-production pipeline. You'll sit closely with all the software developers, providing feedback and learning from each other how to achieve the best quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Automation & Deployment: Design, implement, and maintain automated deployment pipelines and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools such as Jenkins, Bitbucket CI/CD and others

System Monitoring & Maintenance: Monitor the health, performance or the current state of both the product and the CI/CD pipelines

Collaboration: Work closely with software developers, software testers, and other cross-functional teams to define and implement scalable, efficient, and high-performing infrastructure solutions.

CI/CD Pipeline: Set up and manage CI/CD workflows, enabling rapid and reliable software deployment cycles and improving release cycles with minimal downtime.

Security & Compliance: Implement best practices for security, access control, and regulatory compliance within the infrastructure and development pipelines.

Configuration Management: Maintain and optimize configurations for systems, tools, and environments, ensuring consistency across different platforms and stages of development.

Qualifications and skills:

Bachelor or Master in computer science or similar.

Experience with DevOps engineering, CI/CD or similar - Setting up and creating CI/CD Pipelines.

Interest in DevOps, Software and Quality.

Working in a structured way and comfortable creating technical documentation.

Working in an Agile environment.

Experience of Safety critical software.

Software lifecycles.

Jira, Jenkins, Git, Jenkins.

Microsoft Office package.

Linux environments.
