Location: Blue Star House, Brixton

We operate agile working (min 2 days a week in the office, including Wednesdays)

About Us

Housing for Women is a registered charity and independent housing association. We champion female empowerment by providing and promoting affordable homes for women and gender-specific support services. Since 1934, we have been working to build a more equal society for women, a world where everyone has a safe roof over their head regardless of circumstance, where violence against women is no longer tolerated.

We are now looking for a Director of Operationsto join us on a fixed term, full-time basis. We offer flexibility on hours e.g. 4 days a week/compressed hours for the right candidate.

    The Role

    About You

    To be considered for the role of Director of Operations, you will need:

  • Substantial experience of strategic change management and leadership
  • Substantial experience as a director within a social housing environment or similar
  • Significant experience of Housing Services, customer service delivery and complaints resolution
  • Significant experience of Asset and Estate management service delivery
  • Degree level or equivalent
  • Demonstrable evidence of developing and delivering a positive performance/continuous improvement culture in a service delivery setting
  • Demonstrable experience of managing large/complex budgets
  • Strong ICT skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong numeracy
  • Persuasive presentation skills
