Additionally, Saab is a company that respects each person's needs for a rewarding life beyond work.The Role:This role is part of our Saab Seaeye Underwater Robotics Business Unit in Fareham.As part of the Electronics team you will create design solutions for electronic/electrical products in underwater vehicles in line with the company's business needs through innovation, creativity and professionalism.You may be required to lead projects, this will require you to direct and co-ordinate project activities within the Engineering Department and other areas of the business such as Purchasing, Operations, Sales and Logistics.Key Responsibilities:Design and development of new Electronics designsComfortable with novel designs with quantified acceptable risksExperience of full-lifecycle design and development with change management applied: from concept to end of lifeMixed signal electronic designMicroprocessor system designBoard layout principlesInterface buses and protocols including I2C, SPI, RS485, CAN and EthernetDesign for LVD/EMC ComplianceDevelopment of requirements specifications and test proceduresSystem level integration and testingQualifications and Skills:Bachelor's degree or an accredited Qualification in a related Engineering discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with extensive professional experience.Ability to work with minimal supervision either on your own or within project teams.'Hands on' 'can do' approach.Complex problem-solving skills.Design skills and knowledge.The ability to work well with others.To be flexible and open to change.By submitting an application to Saab UK you consent to undertaking workforce screening activities that may include but are not limited to: Baseline Personnel Security checks, National Security Vetting, reference checks, verification of working rights and in all circumstances preferred candidates will be placed through a security interview.TPBN1_UKTJ
