Remote, but travel expected across Thames Valley and South West England

The Team Manager will assist the Registered Manager in overseeing and guiding the agency's fostering service. Responsibilities include supervising both social work and non-social work staff, managing foster carer assessments and reviews, ensuring quality assurance, and contributing to strategic planning. The role is key to delivering a child-focused, high-quality fostering service that complies with or surpasses regulatory requirements.

This is a great opportunity for someone with management experience within fostering who are looking to further develop themselves and also help the organisation develop too.

The remote working aspect will give you the flexibility to manage your own diary and takes away the need to commute to and from an office.

We are working with an independent fostering agency dedicated to providing exceptional care and therapeutic support for children and young people. Their mission is to create safe, nurturing environments that enable our foster families to thrive, within the local area.

Key Responsibilities:



Lead, manage, and support a team of social workers and support staff

Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and standards

*

Develop and implement policies and procedures

*

Monitor and evaluate the performance of the fostering service

*

Provide regular supervision and support to team members

*

Liaise with external agencies and stakeholders

*

Promote and maintain a positive working environment

*

Take part in an OOH duty rota

Requirements:

* Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.

* Experience as a Team Manager.

* Significant experience in fostering services and team management.

* Strong understanding of fostering regulations, safeguarding, and child development.

* Proven ability to lead reflective practice and quality assurance processes.

* Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
