M&P Survey currently have an exciting opportunity for a General Manager to join us at our office based in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis and in return you will receive a competitive salary of up to £65,000 per annum.About us:M&P are Leica Geosystems main UK dealer and part of the Hexagon group. We are a progressive company supplying survey solutions to civil engineering, construction and land surveying industries. We specialise in bringing innovative technology to market including the most advanced GNSS, mobile mapping, 3D laser scanners, UAV’S and total station solutions available to geospatial professionals.About the role:As our General Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth running and operation of the M&P Business and to ensure thorough management of equipment, personnel, processes and that all duties are completed in a timely, efficient manner in accordance with processes, procedures and ‘Good Practice’. In addition, you are to maintain and ensure a safe working environment, and above all, agree, support, and through all endeavours, drive towards our business objectives by means of continual understanding of the business needs and demands.Key responsibilities as our General Manager will include:Responsible for the day-to-day operations involved with running the M&P Office.Encourage, support and further develop a customer focussed and sales motivated operational team, consisting of Rental, Sales & Service functions to offer a best-class customer serviceServe as the central point to ensure daily operational requirements and service levels are met and achieved in a timely manner and in line with expectationsOverseeing Health & Safety and quality of the depot and all equipment within.Managing cover for Holidays and Sickness when requiredProvide performance and progress reports as requiredMonitor and communicate relevant and important information to the Depot and the teamsAchieve agreed objectives against our business objectivesForm part of a cohesive operational management team across all business areas including SCCS & Leica GeosystemsCollaborate with the other Business Managers and staff members in order to formulate and implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives Ensuring Legislation, processes and procedures are fully compliantTo work on special projects as required.To provide reports and information on area of responsibility as required.Responsibility for the local P&L, costs, stock & inventory.What we’re looking for in our General Manager:Experience of working in, and managing, operational teams within a fast-paced Multi Depot environmentStrong leadership and a collaborative working styleSales & Service motivated and ability to demonstrate commercial awarenessExcellent interpersonal and organisational skills and the ability to react to changing demands in a professional mannerAbility to form strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and represent the company professionally.Ability to deliver an excellent customer experience both internal and external in-line with Hexagon Company values.Strong prioritisation skills and ability to manage conflicting demands.Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, strong sense of urgency, responsibility and accountability.Developed and practiced problem solving and decision-making skills.Confidentiality and personal integrity are key characteristics.High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.Excellent communications skills, both verbal and writtenHigh level of IT Literacy – especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OutlookTo join us as our General Manager please click ‘apply’ today – we’d love to hear from you
