Location: Near Leatherhead, Surrey

Salary: Competitive Independent School Pay Scale (MP2 - MP6)

Are you a passionate and dynamic Geography teacher seeking a rewarding opportunity? We are working with a vibrant and well-respected secondary school to recruit a Teacher of Geography to join their dedicated Humanities department on a one-year maternity contract, starting in September 2025.

The Role:

Teach Geography across KS3 & KS4 (AQA 8035)
Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons tailored to a diverse range of learning styles
Work within a supportive department that values innovation, fieldwork, and cross-curricular links (especially with Science)
Contribute to the wider school life including trips, clubs, and parent/community events
Be a form tutor and support the pastoral care of students Key Requirements:

A degree in Geography or a related subject.
Strong knowledge of the AQA GCSE syllabus
A track record of effective and inspiring teaching at secondary level
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
Able to work effectively as part of a team and willing to contribute to extracurricular and pastoral responsibilities The School Offers:
