Geospatial Solutions / Business Development Specialist

Location:Scotland – Central belt or Aberdeen / Inverness

Job Type:Full Time

Salary– 50k, Plus Significant Bonus / Commission, Car


Someone who can go on site and deliver technical demonstrations of their Geospatial tools and solutions, ideally with experience in survey/engineering tasks.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dynamic and drivenGeospatial Solutions Specialistto join the team in Scotland. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in geospatial technologies to help customers optimise workflows, identify new market opportunities, and drive the adoption of their geospatial solutions. As part of the team, you will play a key role in promoting Geosystem products to end-users, distribution partners, and new markets across Scotland where we are seeing opportunities in Construction (Schools, Hospitals, Prisons), general Infrastructure and Energy. (Storage / new Pylon development and renewables)


Key Responsibilities:

  • Sell geospatial solutions and services to the Scottish market, supporting customers in their workflows.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and target markets for geospatial solutions.
  • Collaborate with distribution partners to drive sales and product promotion.
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users, ensuring they maximise the value of products.
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in geospatial technologies and best practices.
  • Demonstrate Geosystem hardware and software solutions, including total stations, GNSS, and laser scanning equipment.
  • Expand business among existing accounts while identifying new customer segments and markets.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to maximize market share and fulfil customer needs.
  • Support the sales and business development teams by facilitating the flow of information.
  • Achieve company sales targets and work collaboratively with management to meet strategic goals.
  • Generate new sales from existing and potential customer networks.
  • Ensure customer training and support requirements are met by working with technical support teams.
  • Maintain and update CRM systems to track opportunities and customer interactions.
  • Adhere to established processes and workflows, suggesting improvements as needed to meet customer and business needs.


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Achieving regional sales targets.
  • Meeting personal and team sales goals.
  • Maintaining compliance with CRM policies and financial processes.
  • Completion of training requirements (technical, commercial, compliance).


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience in the Scottish or wider UK construction/surveying market.
  • Entrepreneurial drive and strong work ethic with a focus on results.
  • Strong account management skills and ability to identify growth opportunities.
  • Knowledge of surveying and engineering equipment, with an understanding of the needs of equipment users.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage at all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong sense of urgency, responsibility, and accountability.
  • Willingness to travel domestically for business.


Travel Requirements:

  • Domestic travel across Scotland, be it across the central belt up more North towards Aberdeen and Inverness.


Computer Skills:

  • Proficient in Office 365, with experience using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce.com) and Business Warehouse solutions.
