Graduate Sales Engineer

Dynamic mechanical or automotive graduate required for sales role into the vehicle industry.

You will undertake all aspects of business development, identifying potential customers, investigate new markets, sales calls, appointment making, face to face visits to fully understand requirement and provide a suitable engineering solution. Full product training given but engineering knowledge or qualification is essential.

The role:

Sell and promote bespoke and standard hydraulic products to new and existing customers within the vehicle, plant and agricultural industry.
Pro-actively identify new clients and maximise existing client potential
Sales activities including fact finding, appointment making, cold calling and site visits
Develop long-term relationships with customers
Work with the designer to interpret customer requirements and offer best products and service for quality and price
Answering customer queries and technical issues
Work to and exceed sales targets

The person:

Qualified engineer in Mechanical, automotive or similar
Professional with strong interpersonal, persuasive and communication skills, able to identify, build and follow up on leads and close sales
Be happy to work in a family business in a small close-knit team
A valid driver's license and a willingness to travel
Previous experience in engineering component or hydralic sales would be of great interest
