The Role

:

Were looking for an experienced Head of Finance (Marketplace) to join our scaling business as we continue to grow our global SaaS and eCommerce platforms.


Reporting to the Finance Director (Marketplace), youll act as a senior business partner across CAVUs global Marketplace division, driving financial performance, influencing strategic decisions, and delivering robust analysis and insight to support growth.


As a visible leader, youll manage and develop an Associate Finance Business Partner, fostering a high-performance culture and embedding strong commercial and financial discipline across the business.


Youll also take the finance lead on key strategic projects from evolving our global reporting processes and data strategy, to appraising acquisitions and new product implementations. This is a high-impact role at the heart of growing tech and digital organisation.


Key Responsibilities:

Lead financial planning, forecasting and reporting for CAVUs global Marketplace division.


Partner with senior stakeholders to provide insight, challenge, and strategic recommendations.
Manage and develop the Marketplace cost base, ensuring strong cost control and accountability.
Take finance ownership of major projects, including data strategy and acquisition appraisals.
Act as deputy to the Marketplace Finance Director and recognised leader within CAVU Finance.
Drive a culture of continuous improvement, automation, and innovation in financial processes.

About You:


Youre a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with a proven track record in commercial finance and business partnering, ideally within a technology-backed or SaaS/eCommerce environment.


You combine strong analytical and technical skills with exceptional communication and leadership ability. You know how to influence senior stakeholders, lead teams, and drive performance in a scaling, fast-moving organisation.


Youll bring:

Proven experience of commercial finance experience, with strategic business partnering expertise.


Demonstrated success influencing at senior levels, including FD, CFO, or SLT.
Excellent leadership and coaching skills able to motivate and develop others.
Strong financial modelling and Excel capability; experience with SAP a plus.
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with attention to detail and commercial awareness.

This role is based on-site at Manchester Airport two days per week (Mondays & Thursdays), with flexibility to work remotely on other days.
