WE ARE LOOKING FOR A FULLY SKILLED HGV TECHNICIAN TO ADD SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE TO OUR WORKSHOP DIVISION.

Working over five days, shift types and start and finish times can be flexible/negotiable.

Current opportunities for HGV Technicians:

HGV Technician Dayshift - Based out of Aberdeen. Basic salary is £40,185pa based on 40 hours per week. OVERTIME PAID AT X 1.5 = £28.98ph. You will receive £10.00 when on standby rota basis. For each call out you will receive £20.00 call out charge. Any hours worked on a call out, you will receive £28.98ph.

HGV Technician Backshift - Based out of Aberdeen. Basic salary is £43,305pa based on 40 hours per week. OVERTIME PAID AT X 1.5 = £31.23ph. You will receive £10.00 when on standby rota basis. For each call out you will receive £20.00 call out charge. Any hours worked on a call out, you will receive £31.23ph.

The position of HGV Technician involves:

Diagnosing and fault finding of any issues with the vehicles and trailers using latest diagnostic equipment.
Ensure all vehicles & trailers are maintained in accordance with manufacturer's specifications, especially in relation to oil change parameters.
Ensure all parts are booked out correctly.
Ensure all legal documents are filled out accurately and on time and are readily available for processing.
Booking out time for each job that is carried out and the relevant paperwork given to the Workshop Controllers.
Ensure that best practice is always employed in relation to component replacement; repair duration; document completion.
Provide support and assist the Fleet Workshop office staff to meet and surpass all agreed targets.
Maintain a clean and tidy workplace environment.
Due to the nature of the role, Health and Safety and Safe Systems of work are paramount. You must ensure that you are following the company's health and safety policy at all times.

Essential skills required for HGV Technician:

Qualified HGV Technician up to Level 3 (Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and repair).
HGV Class 1 CE licence beneficial.
3 years previous experience required.
Intuitive diagnostic skills.
Ability to carry out PMI to DVSA standards.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work to deadlines and under own initiative.
