Job Title: HR Senior Caseworker
Location: London, N1 (Hybrid – 3 days in office)
Contract Type: Temporary ongoing
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week
Start Date: ASAP
Requirements: CIPD Level 7 (or equivalent) – Essential

We’re working with a leading housing provider to recruit a confident and experienced HR Senior Caseworker to lead a small team of HR Advisers and deliver high-quality employee relations support across a diverse organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive HR professional who can hit the ground running in a fast-paced, people-focused environment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage and develop a team of 2–3 HR Advisers, ensuring delivery of expert ER advice and guidance.
Personally handle a small caseload of complex and high-risk employee relations issues, including grievances, disciplinary and tribunal cases.
Support, coach, and advise line managers on a range of ER issues to build people management capability.
Ensure compliance with employment law, internal policy, and the Housing Ombudsman Complaint Handling Code where relevant.
Use data analysis and reporting to track ER trends and contribute to continuous improvement.
Work collaboratively with the wider HR team to support service delivery, including input into policy reviews, training, and stakeholder management.
Contribute to strategic people initiatives to improve consistency and reduce ER caseloads.
Use HR systems to manage workflows, monitor quality, and ensure accurate record keeping.
Provide high-quality written reports, letters, and recommendations with risk awareness.Skills & Experience:
CIPD Level 7 qualified (or equivalent HR qualification) – essential
Significant experience in employee relations and managing complex HR casework.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to line manage, mentor, and support HR Advisers.
Strong knowledge of employment law, ACAS codes, and HR best practice.
Able to communicate clearly and persuasively, with excellent attention to detail.
Highly organised and resilient, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
