Are you a graduate who is highly driven, with excellent people skills, a keen interest in IT, and a passion for business improvement through the utilisation of SAP solutions? 

The Recipe  

We are offering you the opportunity to work with an established long serving IT team who will support you on your learning journey and development over the next 2 to 3 years enabling you to become a Business Systems Manager and setting a platform for you to progress to Senior Leadership in IT. 

This is a Business facing role working within the IT Applications team from our head office in Bolton.  You’ll gain experience across many aspects of IT, drive value through technology across the business, work with well-known software companies like SAP and support on key business change projects. 

As ‘the UK’s No. 1 Bakery Brand’ we have been baking bread since 1876. Today, we are proudly a sixth-generation family, supplying over 18,000 retail customers from 11 bakeries and 16 depots, producing a range of over 70 products including gluten and wheat free.

The Role  

Business Analysis: Works with key stakeholders to gather business requirements, identifying opportunities for improvement and translating requirements into viable IT solutions. 
Business Partnering: Builds great relationships across the business and is able to communicate technical and complex scenarios/solutions in a simple and easy to understand way. 
IT Application Support: Provides support to end users for requests and incidents ensuring standard operating procedures are followed.  Strives to get to the root cause of problems and to improve solutions in order to prevent reoccurrence. 
End User Training: Ensures end users are equipped to use technology solutions in the most optimal way through adequate training and documentation. 
Continuous Improvement: Identify and deliver solutions for improvement in the use of and the business value derived through SAP application systems. This will include hands on SAP configuration.
Analytics: Builds knowledge of business data held in systems and engages with the business to drive insight through new and changes to Analytics solutions. 
Supplier Management: Works closely with IT Partners ensuring delivery of quality solutions and develops collaborative relationships that add value to the IT department and wider business.   

Essential Ingredients  

Degree Qualified (flexible on subject for example, Business, IT, Engineering, Mathematics etc), preferably a 1st or a 2:1.
You must have experience using SAP in your studies or a relevant SAP certification.
Keen interest in IT and project work. 
Willing to learn and to study towards various IT qualifications and people management skills.
Self-starter and confident working in teams. 
Excellent communication skills: influential; persuasive; articulate; gains and maintains attention when speaking to a group of people.  
Strong IT literacy and experience using MS Office suite. 
Self-organised, self-motivated, action oriented and efficient.  
Excellent relationship builder: establishing credibility with both internal and external contacts at all levels. 
Customer focus: always considers the impact that IT solutions have on internal customers, puts the customer first.    
Demonstrates strong analytical skills and is able to balance the need for analysis and rigour with speed of action when solving problems
