The role – what is it we would like you to do? 
A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Sustainability Consultant to join our specialist advisory team. This is new role and will further grow the team’s capacity to provide sustainability and net zero advisory services to major clients. As an experienced and driven professional, this role will enable you to take the lead on client projects and make a difference. The team deliver sustainable solutions and drive whole life value for clients across sectors and are seeing particular growth in sustainability workstreams in the healthcare and higher education sectors.  
Your core duties will involve: 

Develop sustainability strategies and frameworks for major projects and programmes and work collaboratively with clients and technical teams to implement
Support Currie & Brown project teams in enhancing the sustainability performance of core services through targeted project reviews and recommendations
Help deliver decarbonisation projects for existing assets and estates. 
Develop expertise in core sectors which might include Health, Higher Education, Transport Infrastructure or Technology
Produce high quality technical outputs including reports and presentations
Winning work through supporting and drafting proposals and attending key industry events,
Taking responsibility for project finances and resource management
Manage client relationships, including development of potential clients and partners
Help in the development of Currie & Brown capability including training and resources for European business to help them shape and meet client expectations
Participate in internal and external initiatives aimed at accelerating the adoption of zero carbon standards across the built environmentWhat skills and attributes are we looking for from you:

Bachelor of Science degree in any discipline
Evidence of strong quantitative and research skills, e.g. post graduate qualification or degree in STEM discipline.
+3 years’ experience including as a lead project manager in a consultancy or client role
Some consultancy experience including management of projects and profitability
Exposure / knowledge of Currie & Brown core sectors including Health, Higher Education. Infrastructure and Technology
Excellent knowledge of zero carbon and the technical / practical / commercial aspects associated with this goal
Knowledge of the policy environment for sustainable buildings and construction
Understanding of the development and construction sectors including key stages and processes involved in the delivery of major projects and programmes
Experience working with and influencing project teams towards successful project outcomes
Knowledge of services engineering, building physics, capital and lifecycle cost analysis and construction practices would be beneficial
Skilled in use of Microsoft Excel and ability to learn other software such as Power BI, OneClick etc.
BIM / digital design / financial or economic modelling knowledge would be welcomed
Soft skills required:

Demonstrates persuasive communication skills and the ability to influence key stakeholders by leveraging relationships and resources
Ability to provide compelling and insightful reports and presentations
Proactive and collaborative approach and resilience in overcoming obstacles and adapting to challenges.
Passionate about helping clients make good decisions and create a fantastic built environment
Able to review information quickly and efficiently, making decisions using an appropriate mix of analysis and judgement
Proactive attitude, keen to learn, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, diligent, flexible and commercially astute with presentation skills
Energetic and dynamic, capable of delivering to plan but also able to react flexibly to changing circumstances
Can apply a structured approach to problem solving
Comfortable leading and working in teams and networking as well as working on own initiative
Ability to work to overlapping deadlines, delivering all work outputs in an accurate and timely manner
Be a cooperative team member who shares knowledge and skills, applies industry best practice to all commissions and learns from mistakes
Able to introduce innovative approaches that can be used to improve performance, reduce costs, increase quality and improve business processes, and provide clear rationale and supporting data to justify solutions
