Job Description

IT Support Engineer, York - Not for Profit Science/Tech

Up to £33,000 per annumPerm role with 35 days holidays pa.Hybrid working - 2 days in the York office (some travel required

Fruition IT have partnered with this not-for-profit science-based tech business leading the way with R&D and project delivery in robotics, Ai and drones. As the organisation looks to double in team size over the next 12 months, they're looking to hire an IT Support Engineer to support the newly set up IT team with all project and operational delivery!

Responsibilities

As part of a brand-new internal IT team, you will be collaborating closely with suppliers and vendors to provide daily IT assistance to all staff and provide vital support to upcoming IT system projects. You will support on the implementation of new systems, helping to rollout and train/upskill staff.

Be one of the faces of IT, you will need to:

Assist with the onboarding of new starters, ensuring IT access and the necessary equipment is in place from day 1, coordinate with 3rd party suppliers for day-to-day IT support.Design, support and implement IT policies, processes and procedures for employees.Support the business' approach to quality through data protection, GDPR and valid accreditation.Support the training of staff to adopt and maximise the use of IT systems across the multiple sites.Assist with the IT aspects of office moves, onboarding new suppliers and systems across all sites.Monitor, control, and support service delivery, ensuring systems, methodologies, and procedures are in place and followed.Assist in planning for major service developments and their implementation.Carry out IT maintenance and software installations.Maintain the IT asset register and monitor equipment loans.

Requirements

You will have experience on a Service Desk or as an IT Engineer and be looking to step up to IT Manager in the coming years. You will have the following:

Experience and certification in core Microsoft products such as Office 365, SharePoint, Teams and IT security packages.Strong working knowledge of server maintenance and/or network managementA solid understanding of MS Intune.Experience delivering a high level of customer service.Proactive attitude, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.Experience working with 3rd party delivered services.Commitment to working collaboratively with teams at different skill levels across multiple locations. Good understanding of the key principles of GDPR and data protection. Experience in training staff members with new system and software adoption

This role paying up to £33,000pa, it is based in York. The company has 2 days in the office per week policy! Some paid travel will be required to the other UK locations on an ad-hoc basis.
