We are currently collaborating with an award winning regional Main Contractor based in Essex. Established over 30 years ago the company delivers a diverse range of projects across London and the Southeast.

They partner with local authorities, housing associations and private clients across all sectors under both traditional and design & build arrangements, their sectors include commercial, education, healthcare, heritage and residential.

With a turnover exceeding £100 million, the company typically undertakes projects valuing between £1 million and £40 million.

The Role

Our client is currently seeking to recruit a Junior Bid Manager to join their team in Essex, this is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for persuasive writing, detail-oriented work, and winning opportunities to get started in a Bid career.

No prior experience is needed but we are looking for someone that has spent time in a fast paced administrative role. You'll gain hands-on experience across the full bid lifecycle – from initial opportunity tracking to final submission.

In this role, you’ll support our experienced bid team in coordinating and developing compelling responses to public and private sector tenders.

Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Support the management of tender submissions from start to finish, ensuring deadlines are met and all documents are compliant and complete

  • Liaise with internal departments (estimating, planning, design, health & safety, sustainability, etc.) to compile the technical and commercial content for bids

  • Assist in formatting and producing high-quality bid documents, including capability statements, method statements, CVs, project case studies, and response templates

  • Help with the downloading and uploading of documents on e-tendering portals such as ProContract, Delta, and Jaggaer

  • Programme Support: Assist in creating and updating tender programme trackers and internal progress reports

  • Conduct background research on prospective clients, frameworks, and competitors to help inform bid strategy

  • Help maintain and update the bid library (CVs, case studies, template responses) and ensure content is accurate and up-to-date

  • Check bid documents for consistency, grammar, formatting, and compliance with submission requirements

  • Attend internal bid meetings, take minutes, and support team communications throughout the tender period
