If you are a driven and seasoned Surveyor with Laser Scanning, Topographical and MBS experience, and find yourself looking for more from your future, a well-established and growing company like Plowman Craven can offer that; keep reading. We are currently seeking a Surveyor to join our very busy Property Development team.

Primary Purpose

Your primary purpose involves hitting the ground running and performing the variety of surveys required to fulfil projects at the highest standards that Plowman Craven have been known for, over the past 60+ years!

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct all surveying tasks given to you by the Lead Surveyor, meeting all required Company standards, such as quality and health and safety.
  • Lead and successfully deliver smaller projects and aspects of larger projects independently or in conjunction with other surveyors in the team.
  • Work flexibly, including occasional night work and work away from home when required.
  • Take ownership of assigned elements of projects, including logistics and as part of the team take action to support success in other phases.
  • Ensure that projects are delivered to the Lead Surveyor at the appropriate level of quality and in a ‘client ready’ format.
  • Take responsibility for managing project data, following company protocols from collection to final delivery.
  • Work as part of a team to get projects over the line following company best practice.
  • Pro-actively report on progress of work to the project team, ensure that the required deadlines are met, and project costs remain within budget.
  • Coordinate and communicate with other project teams on site including subcontractors.

  • Seasoned surveyor (3+ years) with experience in:
    • MBS
    • Topographical surveys
    • Laser scanning
  • Organisational skills.
  • Professional, confident, and self-motivated.
  • Dynamic and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to be flexible with location and working hours.
