Land Surveyor Position (Tier 1)

Our client, a prominent player in the engineering sector, is currently seeking a dedicated Land Surveyor & Senior Land Surveyor to join their team for a Tier 1 reputable project based in the Brackley area. This is a permanent role, providing a fantastic opportunity to work on critical infrastructure and highway projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting the Senior Land Surveyor in establishing and maintaining the site survey control network
Undertaking land, topographic, hydrographic, and measured building surveys
Using specialist equipment and technology such as robotics and 3D scanners
Analysing data using plans, maps, charts, and software like AutoCAD, Trimble Business Centre, and GIS programs
Preparing survey drawings and presenting data to clients
Writing reports and presenting findings
Coordinating with Site Engineers for project implementations, plan changes, and rectification work
Setting out and conducting as-built surveys, topographical and engineering surveys
Managing the registration and post-processing of Point Cloud Data
Performing GNSS network surveying, precise traversing, and precise levelling
Managing drone surveys for earthwork measures

Job Requirements:

HND/degree in Land Survey, Geomatics, or equivalent
Experience in a similar role with similar responsibilities
Experience in preparing survey-related Method Statements and Risk Assessments
Expert knowledge of Trimble total stations, levels, and GNSS receivers
Excellent AutoCAD skills for producing 2D and 3D drawings
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Solid report writing and compilation skills
Proficiency in using survey software like Trimble Business Centre
Full driving licence required
