MATLAB Engineer – Systems Modelling & Simulation

We are looking for a highly capable MATLAB Engineer with proven experience in developing high-fidelity system models using MATLAB, Simulink, and Simscape. Your expertise in drone simulation, autonomous control algorithms, and systems engineering will directly contribute to the development of innovative training and simulation technologies, supporting mission-critical solutions for defence and high-tech sectors.

Job Description – About the Role
As a MATLAB Engineer, you will report to the Head of Engineering and play a key role in the design, development, and implementation of complex system models. You will work closely with systems engineering and development teams to ensure the integration of algorithms and simulations into technical products. Your responsibilities will include:
Developing system models using MATLAB, Simulink, and Simscape
Creating physics-based models of real-world systems
Designing and testing autonomous control algorithms (e.g., path planning, sensor fusion)
Documenting and presenting technical material
Supporting internal engineering process development
Contributing to early lifecycle systems engineering activitiesKey Skills & Experience Required – About You
You should have:
Strong proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, and Simscape
Experience in drone simulation and control system design
Knowledge of synthetic environments and data acquisition
Familiarity with the systems engineering lifecycle and tools such as SysML and Enterprise Architect
Analytical mindset and strong documentation skills
Understanding of agile methodologies and synthetic training solutionsOverview
