Role Overview

This role is ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in software sales, particularly within the Microsoft ecosystem. You’ll undergo a 6-week training programme covering Microsoft Licensing, Azure, CSP, EA, FinOps, and more.

You’ll be based within commuting distance of Reading (Leatherhead considered) and will focus on identifying and securing new business opportunities, initially within Microsoft solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Client Engagement

  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities through research, cold calling, email, and networking.
  • Build strong relationships with prospective clients, understanding their business needs.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from discovery to deal closure.
  • Deliver tailored presentations and demos of Microsoft solutions.

    Solution Selling

  • Collaborate with technical teams to develop proposals aligned with client goals.
  • Communicate the value of Bytes’ Microsoft offerings clearly and persuasively.

    Negotiation & Closing

  • Lead contract negotiations, addressing objections and ensuring compliance.
  • Consistently meet or exceed sales targets.

    Pipeline & CRM Management

  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date sales pipeline.
  • Use CRM tools to track interactions and forecast revenue.

    Market Awareness

  • Stay informed on industry trends and competitor activity.
  • Provide feedback to internal teams to support product development.

    Qualifications & Experience

  • 2+ years in IT sales, ideally with a VAR, distributor, or vendor.
  • Proven track record of meeting sales targets.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Familiarity with CRM and sales analytics tools
