Role Overview
As a Sales Specialist, you'll be instrumental in driving growth by identifying and securing new mobile solutions business. Working closely with Account Managers, you'll uncover cross-sell opportunities within existing client accounts ("whitespace") and actively pursue new business ventures. This role demands a proactive and results-driven individual with a deep understanding of mobile technology and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. You'll be a key player in expanding the mobile footprint and ensuring clients leverage the full potential of the business’s innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities

· Deliver Target: Consistently meet and exceed monthly mobile sales targets in line with company strategy. This involves effective consultation, accurately matching solutions to customer needs, and providing service that fosters long-term partnerships while safeguarding commercial interests.

· Deliver Service: Provide an exceptional customer service experience throughout the sales and delivery cycle. Ensure thorough follow-up to help clients enhance and optimize their use of solutions and quantify the value delivered.

· KPIs: Achieve defined individual performance KPIs and adhere to best practice standards. This includes effective pipeline management and maintaining consistency in the customer experience to enable sustainable sales delivery.

· Reporting: Produce accurate and reliable reports on sales activity and pipeline forecasting to support business management in achieving sales objectives.

· Lead Generation: Generate new business opportunities through effective business networking across relevant channels, such as social media and face-to-face engagements. Maintain a keen focus on collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to develop new referral opportunities.

· Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, clients, and suppliers to facilitate day-to-day service delivery, generate new sales opportunities, and foster long-term partnerships that sustain business growth.

· Data: Maintain accurate customer records within the company's contact management system. This includes consistently and accurately recording sales opportunities, activities, and client contact details to enable efficient and effective communication, reporting, and marketing planning.

· Processes: Adhere to defined procedures for using company systems and processes to ensure consistency in the customer experience. Continuously strive for improvement to develop systems and processes that enhance both the customer experience and internal efficiency.

· Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain expert product knowledge across our entire portfolio of mobile services, accounting for current and future needs. This enables the realization of benefits for our clients and aligns with the commercial needs of our business.

· Market Research: Provide regular feedback and insights on product, industry, market, and competitor developments. This information will optimize campaign planning and commercial modelling to support the company's growth strategy.

Skills Required

  1. Proven Sales Acumen: Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding sales targets, particularly within the mobile or telecommunications sector.
  2. Mobile Technology Expertise: Strong understanding of mobile solutions, including but not limited to mobile voice, data, unified communications, and related technologies.
  3. Consultative Selling: Ability to conduct in-depth needs assessments, propose tailored solutions, and articulate value propositions clearly and persuasively.
  4. Relationship Building: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients, colleagues, and partners.
  5. Pipeline Management: Proficient in managing a sales pipeline, from lead generation to close, ensuring consistent progress and accurate forecasting.
  6. Data Accuracy & Reporting: Meticulous attention to detail for maintaining accurate CRM records and generating insightful sales reports.
