Position Overview:

Our client is seeking aPrincipal Communication Systems Engineer.If you enjoy working in a startup environment and are passionate about developing leading-edge phased array antennas and radios for satellites, spacecraft, and aerospace systems, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Define requirements, integrate technical parameters, and ensure compatibility of all interfaces.
  2. Support proposal reviews and lead trade studies to optimize system architecture.
  3. Develop space system requirements and interfaces.
  4. Lead the development of space architecture concepts, sub-system design, payload design, and risk reduction.
  5. Conduct analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, and other quality factors to ensure mission success.
  6. Develop system engineering processes for requirements management and traceability.

Qualifications:

  1. Master’s or Doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering.
  2. 9+ years of experience in space communications.
  3. Strong background in communication theory and RF concepts.
  4. Experience with FPGA, modern vector processing engines, and satellite-communications standards.
  5. Proficiency in Python and C++.
  6. Excellent written and verbal technical communication skills.
  7. Ability to manage large projects and work well under pressure.
  8. Strong team collaboration skills.
