Role: Production Manager

Location: Coventry

Salary: £44,000 - £47,000 + 15% bonus

Shift: Mon – Fri (8am – 5pm)

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Production Manager to join a market leading engineering company based in Coventry

The Production Manager will be accountable for the effective use, of all resources i.e. personnel, plant and equipment, ensuring they are effectively and efficiently deployed in order to achieve output to plan, on time and within budget.

Main responsibilities:

Responsible for maintaining, improving and promoting a world class H&S environment in all plant areas. 
Day to day supervision and care of all site personnel in your team, i.e. communication, appraisal, training, disciplinary matters, employee hours and shift working arrangements
Delivery of the training plans (assessing, recording and ensuring delivery of training requirements for all production employees to ensure they meet the required level of capability)
Supporting the Quality function and have a “right first time approach”
Manage the provision of consumable/materials for site and maintain all baskets and fixturing equipment to ensure we maximise fixture life and tooling costs
Regular contact / communication with all site leaders to ensure daily plans and targets are understood including organising the morning meetings
Management and reporting of cost, quality and delivery KPI’s
Managing customer service levels and developing business through good customer relationships
Direct involvement in Continuous Improvement activities
Qualifications, experience and skills:

Engineering / Process/ Manufacturing background, in a regulated industry
The ability to act decisively and solve staff or equipment-related problems
ICT literacy to deal with various technologies and programmes
Customer focussed approach to ensure high levels of quality and service
The ability to communicate clearly and persuasively with your team, managers and clients
Leadership skills and the ability to motivate others to meet deadlines
Understanding of H&S requirements
Good problem solving skills (root cause), with a results driven approach
Continuous improvement and Lean tools experience is desirable
