Production Proposal Manager - Engineering & Industrial Projects
Location: Warrington
Salary: £60 - £75,000 per annum plus Car Allowance
Contract Type: Permanent

Are you a detail-driven proposal professional with a strong technical background in electrical panel and MCC (Motor Control Centre) systems? Do you thrive in leading complex bids and bringing multi-disciplinary teams together to deliver compelling, high-value proposals?
Our client, a market leader in engineering and maintenance services across multiple industrial sectors, is looking for a Production Proposal Manager to take ownership of proposal development for production and MCC panel projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking business that supports critical industries, from energy and utilities to petrochemical and nuclear.
About the Role
You'll lead the end-to-end proposal lifecycle - from bid qualification through to final submission - managing inputs from technical experts, commercial teams, and leadership. Your goal? To produce accurate, persuasive, and brand-aligned proposals that win work and reflect the company's reputation for technical excellence and delivery.

Key Responsibilities
Proposal Development & Management

Lead proposal strategy sessions, kick-off meetings, and content development.
Coordinate cross-functional teams to compile accurate, timely, and compelling bids.
Maintain and enhance the proposal content library and knowledge base.
Ensure brand, formatting, and messaging consistency across all submissions.
Bid Strategy & Client Engagement

Define win themes and understand client drivers for each opportunity.
Prioritise and manage multiple RFPs based on commercial potential.
Engage with clients directly during the bid process and support follow-up queries.
Facilitate bid/no-bid discussions with senior stakeholders.
Leadership & Collaboration

Motivate and manage virtual proposal teams from across technical and commercial functions.
Track performance metrics such as bid volume, win rates, and proposal quality.
Report progress to executive leadership and input into strategic planning.
Continuous Improvement

Implement proposal best practices, including use of automation tools and process refinements.
Lead knowledge-sharing initiatives to support future bid efficiency and effectiveness.
What You'll Bring

In-depth knowledge of electrical panel / MCC panel design and manufacturing
10+ years' experience in proposal development, estimating, or bid management
Background in sectors such as oil & gas, nuclear, utilities, or power
Degree in an engineering or numerical discipline - or equivalent practical experience
Excellent organisational, communication, and team leadership skills
Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
Ability to meet UK Security Clearance criteria - existing clearance is an advantage
