  • 3x shift system, 37.5 hours

  • 7am – 3pm, Days

  • 3pm – 11pm, Backs

  • 11pm – 7am, Nights

Our client is well established within their sector and are currently experiencing strong growth fuelled by high demand for their products and services.     The Job You’ll Do;

  • Conduct start of shift briefs with team members with focus on Safety, People, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Environment, Complete roll call and re-assign tasks as required.

  • Work to ensure people & resources are applied in an efficient & effective manner to meet delivery, quality & safety standards.

  • Communicate KPIs so that each employee is aware of expectations and deliverables.

  • Liaise & communicate with other departments ensuring an effective relationship is maintained to minimise equipment downtime due to material shortages / supply.

  • Application of all Company policies and procedures including appraisal, discipline, grievance, timekeeping, Attendance, training, production reports and figures etc.

  • Identify and supporting the team training needs and ensuring these requirements are completed in line with company procedures.

  • Maintain the required company quality standards ensuring both internal and external customer satisfaction.

  • Be a first point of contact or escalation for Lead Operators .

  • Liaise and coordinate with support functions to progress issues concerning logistical issues to ensure consistent and on time delivery of material to all required facilities.

  • Lead and motivate the team to create a high-performance culture where improvement suggestions are embraced.

  • Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems.

  • Reporting and action on breakdowns and escalation to relevant parties as necessary

  • Identify business improvement opportunities within the organisation.

    About You;

  • Experience within a fast-paced engineering/manufacturing environment

  • Experience managing a team within a relevant industry and function.

  • Ability to build effective relationships with work colleagues

  • Demonstrate good participation as a team member, effective contributor and an awareness of other people and the impact on them.

  • Possess interpersonal skills to build rapport with others, displaying trust, integrity, diversity awareness and good networking skills.

  • Ability to express ideas or facts clearly and convince others through excellent listening and persuasive communication with a resilient and flexible approach
