Insignis Talent is partnering with a leading multinational Maritime Defence company whose cutting-edge solutions are deployed across UK naval fleets and allied navies worldwide. Specializing in the design, development, and production of mission-critical, intelligent, and highly regulated systems, they deliver innovative capabilities across surface, sub-surface, and unmanned platforms.

They are seeking aProject Engineering Leadto join their team on a permanent basis at either theirWest LondonorWeymouthsite. In this role, you will play a key part in developing advanced solutions that shape the future of naval warfare.

The Role

As part of the Engineering Delivery team, you will work closely withProject ManagersandSystems Design Authoritieson allocated projects, leading a multidisciplinary team to deliver defined engineering work packages.

This position is ideal for someone with experience managing complex engineering projects and overseeing work package execution.

Key Requirements

  • Strong communication skills to build and maintain effective relationships within teams and with stakeholders
  • Experience leading a team through an engineering development project, ideally from requirements elicitation to production
  • Familiarity with defence projects
  • Engineering estimation experience
  • Ability to develop engineering plans, identifying dependencies, assumptions, risks, and opportunities
  • Understanding of project design gates, from bid phase to full-scale production readiness
  • Knowledge of configuration and change management processes
  • Background insystems engineering, with an understanding ofelectrical, mechanical, and software engineeringdisciplines

You must be eligible to attainfull Security Clearance (SC).
