RME Consultants are working with an exciting business to find a Senior Bid Writer to join their team in South Oxford!

Role: Senior Bid Writer

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum

Working Hours: Full Time (12 month contract), potential for the contract to go perm after 12 months.

Location: South Oxford. You would be required into the office a minimum of 1 x day per month.

Main Duties for the Senior Bid Writer:

  • Bid Development: Manage the end-to-end bid writing process, ensuring the submission of high-quality, persuasive, and tailored proposals that meet client requirements.

  • Content Creation: Craft and edit clear, engaging, and winning content for bids, including executive summaries, case studies, and technical narratives.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, operations, and subject matter experts, to gather information and align bid content with client needs and company objectives.

  • Process Improvement: Continuously enhance bid writing processes, templates, and tools to ensure efficiency and consistency across submissions.

  • Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a seamless bid process.

  • Mentorship: Support and guide less experienced team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

    Experience requirement for the Senior Bid Writer:

  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in bid writing, with a proven track record of creating successful bids in a competitive environment.

  • Writing Skills: Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to tailor content to different audiences and industries.

  • Attention to Detail: Strong editing and proofreading skills to ensure all submissions are of the highest quality.

  • Time Management: Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.

  • Teamwork: Collaborative mindset, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
