Senior Business Development Manager

Location: Hybrid – Remote with regular travel to London or Gatwick HQ
Salary: £65,000 base + £6,000 car allowance + uncapped commission
Reports to: Business Development Director

Purpose of the Role

To drive new business by finding, developing, and closing sales opportunities. You'll manage the full sales cycle and work closely with the wider team to deliver strong, values-led growth.

Key Responsibilities

New Business Generation

Build your own pipeline through outreach (LinkedIn, email, phone, events, etc.)
Handle inbound leads and warm introductions
Keep CRM (Salesforce) data accurate and up to date
Sales Process

Lead discovery calls and qualify prospects
Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored solutions
Work with the Bid Manager to create proposals and pitches
Present and negotiate contracts with clients
Targets

Year 1: £1.4M new business revenue
Year 2: £2M new business revenue
Contribute to overall team goal of £3.5M annual recurring revenue
Team Collaboration

Provide feedback to improve sales and marketing strategies
Share insights on market trends and buyer objections
Work with the Growth Consultant to improve sales processes
Commission Structure

8% of gross profit on new business
4% on retenders
Additional profit uplift on retenders counts toward new business
Uncapped earnings potential (subject to minimum margin thresholds)
