We’re looking for an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to deliver innovative solutions across a diverse portfolio of technically challenging projects.

The Opportunity:
As a Senior Complex Systems Engineer, you'll bring your expertise in systems design and systems engineering—particularly in software or complex electronic hardware—to lead and contribute to high-impact projects. From avionics re-certification to next-gen UAS architecture, you'll help deliver capability that’s secure, sustainable, and future-ready.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and review safety-critical systems architectures
Support design decision-making using systems engineering principles
Deliver systems assurance and certification artefacts
Ensure compliance with relevant defence and civil standards
Collaborate with MOD, OEMs, Design Organisations, and supply chain stakeholders
Lead and manage projects, providing both technical direction and client consultancyWhat You’ll Bring:
Proven experience with software or complex electronic hardware (CEH) in safety-related systems
Familiarity with standards like ARP4754A, IEC 61508, DO-178C, DO-254, Def Stan 00-055/56
Experience with MBSE tools such as Cameo or Sparx EA
Systems modelling knowledge (e.g. UML/SysML)
Hands-on experience of system and safety lifecycles
Knowledge of MOD acquisition frameworks and certification strategies
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Project management and technical leadership experienceDesirable Extras:
Degree in a relevant engineering or science field
Chartered Engineer status or working towards it
