My client has successfully extended its contract with Thames Water for an additional five years. As the largest water and wastewater provider in the UK, Thames Water serves 15 million customers throughout London and the Thames Valley. This extension will carry the current agreement through to the end of AMP8 in March 2030. My client is delivering work on three frameworks in the region, which sees us undertake a varied programme of water and wastewater non-infrastructure and infrastructure projects to improve the network.

As a Site Agent, you’ll be integral to our operational team, contributing to every phase from tendering and design to construction, commissioning, and handover. You’ll lead projects that enhance our environment and communities- from improving flood defences, to upgrading water treatment works and providing nature-based solutions that improve biodiversity.

The role of a Site Agent includes:

• Working collaboratively with the design and commercial teams to enhance delivery efficiency and promote opportunities while managing risk

• Managing the site, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, within budget and to the quality required by the client

• Involvement with site level procurement, subcontractor logistics and H&S reporting

• Informing the client about project progress and addressing any concerns

• Acting as a Temporary Works Coordinator, overseeing the installation of temporary works to ensure compliance with design specifications.

What you’ll need:

• CSCS, SSSTS/ SMSTS

• HNC / Degree in Civil Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience

• Understand civil engineering principles and practices

• Excellent organisation and problem-solving skills

• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders

• A valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across your operational region
