About the Role:
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Supply Chain & Costing Administrator to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role will focus on compiling costings and ROM (Rough Order of Magnitude) estimates for both new and established finished products, ensuring that all requirements align with internal costing processes and sales requests.


Supply Chain & Costing Administrator Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensure and monitor that the organization complies to all applicable health, safety & environmental laws, Complete product costings in line with requests from sales, keeping team updated on progress
  • Verify product manufacturing capability
  • Seek best value material prices, by evaluating the demand generated from costing against current stock
  • Request quotations from suppliers and sub-contractors and negotiate (if necessary)
  • Work closely with buyers where necessary
  • Evaluate supplier minimum order quantities and impact on costing
  • Analyse the requirement and identify potential to increase competitiveness in the marketplace
  • Liaise with all other relevant departments when necessary to understand technical or demand requirements
  • Be able to present outcome of costings to management at bid reviews and be able to articulate the rationale for the information provided
  • When requested, represent purchasing team at key project meetings, to ensure any project driven purchasing requirements and PO expediting requirements are understood and feedback is given to relevant buyers
  • Support project managers with any ad-hoc supply chain related tasks
  • Place purchase orders for approved company requisitions
  • Be able to cover buying and expediting functions as required

  • Excellent Microsoft 365 skills
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems
  • Relevant experience in a similar costing role
  • Experience of contacting and negotiating with suppliers
  • Ability to work as part of a supply chain team as well as cross departmentally
  • Order expediting experience
  • Ability to identify ways of streamlining/improving existing processes


Helpful skills and experience:

  • Project management and/or project controller experience (desirable)
  • Procurement experience (desirable)
  • Ability to understand technical drawings (desirable)
  • Advanced Excel skills (desirable)
