Overview

Dynamic Survey, a division of Dynamic Engineering Consultants, is seeking a motivated, team-oriented individual with field survey knowledge and experience for small and large scale commercial, residential, and industrial projects. The Party Chief is responsible for surveying to determine precise location and measurements of points, elevations, and contours for construction, subdivisions, titles, or other land development purposes. Duties include all aspects of surveying including but not limited to: boundary, location, topographic, title and ALTA surveys, calculations, deed research, field data analysis, aerial ground control, and topographic surveys, utility locations including pipe inverts and sizes, Right-of-Way Surveys, Wetland Location Surveys, and construction layout.

Responsibilities

  1. Conduct and analyze land, utility, boundary surveys, well location, and construction stakeout.
  2. Process construction stakeout field preparations.
  3. Complete all field operations for a variety of surveying projects including topographic surveys, boundary surveys, transportation surveys, and construction layout.
  4. Project datum conversion/transformation.
  5. Maintain, clean, and service survey equipment and vehicles as needed.
  6. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  1. 5+ years’ experience in land development surveying.
  2. 3+ years’ field experience as a Party Chief.
  3. Must have flexibility in daily schedule start times, particularly early mornings.
  4. Valid driver’s license.
  5. Ability to maintain and operate personal and/or company vehicle.
  6. Familiar with CIVIL3D and Land Development Desktop, a plus.
  7. Experience with Leica survey systems is a plus.
  8. Proficient with robotic total stations and data collection methods, GPS survey techniques, conventional leveling, and field notes.
  9. Knowledge of field survey operations, engineering, and construction industry.
  10. Strong technical background.
  11. Ability to work independently as a one-person crew if necessary.
  12. Willing to train new employees.
  13. The ability to obtain OSHA 10 safety training and OSHA 40 safety training.
  14. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Software including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project.
  15. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  16. Independent and critical thinking abilities.
