Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Pay: £12.90 per hour
Location: Newport (NP19)

Teaching Personnel is recruiting on behalf of a partnership primary school based in Newport. The successful candidate will be working across various year groups from Nursery to Year 6, supporting children from aged 3 to 11 years old. 

The school are looking to recruit an indiviual who is flexible, hard-working and enthuasitic to help provide support to children across all areas of the curriculum. For this position you will be required to work on a full-time basis which would be Monday to Friday 08:30 - 15:30. This is an exciting opportunity for an invidiual to join a thriving primary school.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the class teacher with the preperation of the classroom 
Support children throughout all tasks set by the classroom and offer 1:1 support to pupils if needed
Provide group support to children if needed - this will mainly focus around reading and numeracy skills
Supervise the children during break and lunch times throughout the day
Support pupils with their social and emotional skills
What we are looking for:

A patient, flexible and positive attitude 
Strong communcation skills
An indiviudal who is enthusiastic and willing to support all pupils
Essential Requirements:

A valid DBS certificate that is registered on the Update Service
Registration with the Education Workforce Council
2 Professional Based References

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
