TEXO Drone Survey and Inspection Ltd (DSI), a leading provider of integrated drone-based survey and inspection services, is seeking an experienced UAS Pilot to join our team in Essex.

Our innovative technologies and services are at the forefront of the industrial surveying industry, delivering solutions across multiple sectors including construction, oil and gas, and renewables.

Area(s) of Responsibility:

  • Undertake role of Pilot-in-Command of unmanned aerial vehicles whist on operational deployment

  • Follow specific data capturing techniques to obtain the optimum data.

  • Preparation and recording of pre-flight planning and risk assessments.

  • Preparation and recording of post flight reporting.

  • Preparation of reports to the Technical Manager Officer following risk events or incidents.

  • Processing of collected imagery and survey data in various software packages

  • Troubleshoot equipment issues.

  • Carry out operational management of on-site personnel, payload operators and observers.

  • Maintain own pilot logs and currency in accordance with company policy requirements.

  • Adhere to all policies and procedures for the operation of unmanned aerial vehicles and associated equipment to ensure safe and compliant operations.

  • Update, input and promote Texo DSI SMS (Safety Management System), Centrik.

  • Client liaison when operating on-site.

  • Ensure that the flight safety of the aircraft is always maintained, and data acquisition is always captured at the highest standard.

    To become a UAV pilot with TEXO DSI, you will need;

  • CAA-approved UAS qualification or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience piloting drones commercially, preferably in industrial or construction environments with experience in inspection and geospatial survey data capture such as photogrammetry.

  • Strong understanding of drone hardware and software technologies.

  • Background in survey data processing is preferrable with; Reality Capture / Agisoft / CAD

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to travel as needed for fieldwork across the UK

  • Strong interest and enthusiasm for UAS Technologies.

  • The ability to think outside the box.

  • High level of concentration with a logical mindset.

  • The ability to manage pressure and prioritise.

    Relationships

  • Other work colleagues.

  • General Public – while out on operations.

  • Client Facing – during shows, demos, and site operations.
