TEKEVER Defenceis responsible for the development and delivery of TEKEVER’s offering to the defence market, with a core focus to deliver innovative, battle winning capabilities to NATO defence partners. It is divided into five main departments: Capability, Delivery, Operations, Test and Evaluation, and Business Development and Strategy.

This role sits within TEKEVER Defence’s growing Defence Operations function, responsible for supporting our customers through active deployments across the world.

Job Overview:

As a Team Leader you will play a vital role in the effective planning and execution of deployments for defence customers in some of the most complex and challenging environments. You will be an inspirational leader, building the trust and confidence of your team and driving individual and collective excellence. 

You will have excellent communication skills and be able to engage credibly with customers at all levels, and with varying degrees of technical knowledge. This is a wide-reaching role with a high degree of autonomy and authority. You will be entrusted and empowered to deliver and will need to be comfortable working in a highly demanding environment.

You will be expected to travel frequently to customer locations in the UK, Portugal, US and Europe.

What will be your responsibilities:

• 
  
• Leadership – Lead across functional Operations team in the successful delivery of deployments.
  
• Mission Planning – Oversee the effective planning, scheduling and delivery of flight missions and ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards and company best practice.
  
• Enable – Build and foster a positive team environment that encourages open communication, collaboration and professional growth. Provide coaching and mentorship to team members.
  
• Deliver – Build a high-performance work environment that fosters problem solving and continuous improvement to drive operational excellence and enhanced customer satisfaction.
  
• Reporting – Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards and industry best practice and seek to promote increased understanding across the TEKEVER business through insightful and impactful communications. It is imperative that you can converse honestly with the TEKEVER leadership with integrity.
  
• Customer Relations – Put the customer at the heart of operations, building strong relationships at all levels to drive insight and understanding that delivers increased value.
  
• Security - You will be responsible for the team while deployed overseas. You are to ensure that the best safe practices are adhered to whilst constantly evaluating any threats.
  

Profile and requirements:

• 
  
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in leadership roles
  
• Minimum of 2 years experience in the deployment and operation of UAVs, including the use of relevant flight planning tools
  
• Experience in the deployment and operation of UAVs in a military setting
  
• Proficiency in the operation of advanced sensors and payloads from UAV systems
  
• Experience in the operation of the defence and/or civil security sector
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  
• Proficiency in Team Management
  
• Must be eligible to hold SC clearance and willing to undergo the vetting process.
  
• Work authorisation in the UK is required.
