By joining our team as UAV Lead, you’ll become an integral part of a dynamic organisation poised for rapid expansion and global reach. You will have access to some of the most modern technologies in UAV surveying and you’ll have the resources to excel at your craft. Your leadership will be pivotal in enhancing our UAV capabilities and driving innovation within the business.

PRIMARY PURPOSE

You will hit the ground running and join a highly talented surveying team consisting of UAV Surveyors, Pilots, Lead Surveyors and your team leader, the Survey Manager. Your main responsibilities will include:

Support sales for UAV solutions. Lead and Develop the UAV UK & India team. Innovate and Implement Technology. Ensure Compliance and Certification. Support Business Development. Oversee UAV day-to-day Operations. Coordinate Data Processing.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide strong leadership to the global UAV team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development to enhance their skills and capabilities. Drive the development and implementation of new UAV technologies, facilitating transformational changes and continuous improvement across our projects. Maintain strict adherence to CAA regulations and certifications, ensuring all operational procedures are up-to-date and compliant. Act as a UAV solutions specialist, working closely with the sales team to convert opportunities and develop new UAV revenue streams. To take the role of UAV Lead and ensure the delivery of high-quality workmanship across the UAV team.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

YOU MUST HAVE:

Proven experience running a UAV department, ensuring compliance with CAA and Health & Safety regulations. Demonstrated success in closing deals with clients, including managing existing accounts and acquiring new clients. Proficient in photogrammetry and LiDAR processing, with a strong background in surveying and operating UAVs. UAV operational experience, particularly in Specific categories: VLOS (Visual Line of Sight), EVLOS (Extended Visual Line of Sight), and BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line of Sight). A minimum of 4 years in the UAV space Experience in surveying Sound understanding of CAA requirements and how to deliver on them. Experience in photogrammetry and associated processing is desirable.
