Role Overview:

Consortiq is seeking an experienced and focused Global Training Manager to oversee the delivery and development of our UAS training programmes across multiple regions. While this role is UK-based, the successful candidate will also manage training operations in the USA, Canada, and the EU through our partner in Ireland. The role will ensure that our team and clients receive the highest quality, up-to-date UAS training, across a variety of training delivery methods including internal and external instructors.


As the Global Training Manager, you will liaise with the Director of Training for regulatory oversight, the Operations Manager for client requirements, and report directly to the CEO. You will be responsible for both developing and delivering training materials, managing remote and in-person sessions, and ensuring our training meets the highest standards. You will also handle incident investigations, support training events, and assist specific clients with their needs.


This role will require occasional travel, including a few days per month and sometimes extended periods. The position is primarily remote, with flexibility on location within the UK, but you should be prepared to attend meetings and events in locations such as London, the M3/M4 corridor, and Cumbria.


Role Details:


Consortiq Training Management Responsibilities:

• Plan, manage, and track multiple projects to ensure timely delivery within scope and budget.

• Act as Project Manager, working with clients to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables, while developing proposals, SOWs, and reports.

• Negotiate project terms and conditions, identify risks, and develop resolution plans.

• Provide client training and support the development of functional and technical specifications.

• Ensure successful project delivery through effective stakeholder engagement.

• Maintain regular client communication and conduct visits to ensure client satisfaction.

• Mentor and train new team members and provide consultancy as required.

• Evaluate and improve current processes and implement product development initiatives to meet client needs.

• Share industry advancements with clients and the internal team to enhance safety, efficiency, and quality.


Training and Course Management:

• Manage the scheduling and coordination of online and in-person training sessions.

• Monitor course completion, exam results, and certification renewals, ensuring timely post-course administration.

• Provide technical support for trainers and trainees, including through e-learning platforms.

• Oversee the development and delivery of specialised courses such as VTOL, BVLOS, Complex Night Ops, and client-specific programmes.

• Supervise the training of instructors and staff, ensuring adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Compliance and Flight Operations Support:

• Maintain compliance records for CAA, UAS, and aviation regulatory training.

• Assist with incident investigations and follow up on corrective actions.

• Help track and update flight operation logs, maintenance records, and other UAS documentation.

• Prepare audit materials and compliance submissions.

• Coordinate debriefs for corporate learning and training sessions.


Staff and Stakeholder Coordination:

• Coordinate with trainers, assessors, and external regulatory bodies to ensure seamless communication.

• Manage logistics for training events, workshops, and meetings.

• Assist in scheduling and staffing training sessions, ensuring adequate coverage.

Finance and Procurement Assistance:

• Process invoices for training expenses, software subscriptions, and course materials.

• Assist in budget tracking for training and operational costs.

• Liaise with vendors and suppliers for training resources, certifications, and examinations.


Marketing, Business Development, and Personal Technical Development:

• Support Consortiq’s online presence by engaging on LinkedIn and promoting company activities.

• Attend events and represent the company in the industry.

• Collaborate with the marketing team to align technical capabilities with client needs.On-Site Training and Instruction.

• Supervise flight training for pilots of varying competence levels to improve skills.

• Ensure pilots adhere to company procedures and safety standards.

• Maintain training records and assist with UAV maintenance and troubleshooting.

• Ensure pilots meet CAA recency requirements and accurately log flight activity.


Essential Skills and Experience:

• Experience operating UAVs, with a strong understanding of flight safety and risk management.

• Proven ability to supervise and mentor pilots at different competency levels.

• Strong understanding of aviation regulations, including CAA and UAS requirements.

• Proficiency in maintaining compliance records and preparing audit materials.

• Experience handling incident report documentation and following up on corrective actions.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Strong organizational and administrative skills for managing training schedules and reporting.

• Tech-savvy with experience in e-learning platforms (Talent LMS), Adobe Express, Google Suite, and CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot).
