Job Title: Wireless Surveying Engineer

Location: Nationwide (Travel & Overnight Stays Required)

Rate: Daily Rate - Expected weekly £750.00 - £1600 per week. Van Fuel Tools etc all supplied

We’re looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Wireless Surveying Engineer to join our telecoms infrastructure team. This is a field-based role involving national travel and climbing of telecom masts, rooftops, and towers to conduct RF surveys, line-of-sight (LoS) tests, and site audits for wireless network deployments (5G/LTE/microwave).

You’ll play a vital role in supporting mobile network operators, equipment vendors, and

infrastructure providers in designing and maintaining next-generation wireless networks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct site surveys on rooftops, towers, and greenfield sites to assess suitability for wireless infrastructure

  • Perform Line-of-Sight (LoS), RF signal strength, and microwave path testing

  • Capture and document data including photos, GPS coordinates, and environmental details

  • Generate accurate survey reports using industry-standard software (e.g. Google Earth Pro, Pathloss, iBwave)

  • Liaise with project managers, design teams, and health & safety representatives

  • Always comply with all working at height and RF safety procedures

  • Use handheld tools and equipment (e.g. laser rangefinders, GPS devices, signal meters)

  • Travel across the UK with occasional overnight stays

    Requirements

    Essential

  • Proven experience working at height on masts, towers, or rooftops

  • Valid Tower Climber / Rooftop Access / Rescue Training (MATS/Arqiva-approved)

  • RF Awareness Certificate

  • Emergency First Aid at Work

  • Working at Height Medical Certificate (Fit-to-Work)

  • Strong awareness of telecoms safety standards and best practices

  • Full UK Driving Licence

    Desirable

  • IPAF (3a/3b) and/or PASMA

  • Experience with Pathloss, iBwave, or equivalent survey software

  • Familiarity with 4G/5G/RF propagation principles

  • Drone survey experience (GVC/A2 CofC)

  • Security Clearance (or eligibility)
